A hand-printed 2-colour linocut print entitled 'Meersbrook View No.2', depicting a view from one of the seven hills of Sheffield. From an edition of 100, signed and numbered.
James Green is a Sheffield-based artist/printmaker. He specialises in linocut prints; landscapes, people, dinosaurs, donkeys and much more. Originally from Birmingham, he studied fine art at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 1995. He has worked in linocut for around 9 years. He is inspired by artists Max Beckmann and Francisco Goya, film-makers Jan Svankmajer and Mike Leigh, and by the hills of Yorkshire and North Wales. James has created commissioned pieces for Tramlines Festival, Paul Smith Menswear, and Domino Records.
