Henderson's Relish is a Sheffield institution and has been bottled in the city for over 100 years. Though the appeal of the sauce is now global, the special spicy recipe remains a closely guarded secret. At least once a year a rumour sweeps through Sheffield that the owner is retiring and taking the secret recipe with him. On hearing this supermarket shelves are cleared as people stock up on bottles of Hendo's. Fortunately all these rumours are unfounded and Henderson's is going from strength to strength.
